Interstate Trailers® Heavy Duty 1200L Diesel Trailer (Base Model)
This heavy duty trailer is great for transporting diesel to where you need it. This 1200L full package diesel trailer comes with proper diesel grade polyethylene tank, complete with 12V 45L PIUSI diesel pump unit, digital litre counter and auto shot-off gun with 10m PIUSI Hose Reel, fire extinguisher & reflective tape.
The Interstate Trailers® trailer to which carries the diesel tank uses heavy duty industrial grade Australian Manufactured “C” Channel in the V tow bar and chassis of the main structural frame of the trailers. The specific reason for this is the C Channel has the strength and flexibility required to handle the payload and demands of a heavy duty diesel trailer. Don’t risk your trailers V tow bar snapping off travelling at 100km down the highway with potentially flammable fuel in it, the consequences would be disastrous for not only you as the owner but possibly others involved in such an event.
Can you transport diesel without a licence? Yes!
“You don’t need a dangerous goods driver licence when only transporting diesel. In Australia, any amount of diesel transported on its own by road is not classified as a dangerous good for transport purposes.
You will need a dangerous goods driver licence when diesel is transported together with Class 3 (flammable liquids) in compartments of a multiple compartment portable tank or tank vehicle. The load then becomes a refined petroleum product dangerous good and is identified under the name of Petroleum Products (UN1270).”
For more information, refer to the Australian Dangerous Goods Code, or contact the Department of Transport and Main Roads at dgutmr.qld.gov.au.
